Daisy O. Bacani says, "Prayer is a battle."
About her: A 48-year old mom of 2 successful grown up children. She's an Accounts Receivable Manager now by profession and working in a prestigious bank for over 20 years of her banking career. She grew up together with her 1 brother and 1 sister. A Roman Catholic by faith.
Education matters: She completed Nursery at West Rembo Elementary School; finishes Gradeschool at Fort Bonifacio Elementary School; graduated High School at Fort Andres Bonifacio College; and attained College degree at Adamson University.
Her interests: She loves shopping, walking and reading.
A mantra: She believes that, "prayer is a battle." She said, "I will fight, I am beautiful, I am smart no matter what others say."
A SUPERHERO: She happily said, "I'll be one of the POWERPUFF GIRLS. Because they are cute, cool and lovable. Most especially, my children likes to watch them when they were young."
Did you ever find happiness and success together in your life? With a smile she answered, "YES, for me the two goes hand in hand together. You can never be successful if you are not happy and vice versa. Happiness and success is how you define it."
Hitting the rock bottom and overcoming it: "I can’t say rock bottom but I had some shares of difficulties and challenges in life, personally and within my family life. Prayer is a powerful weapon. If God is with me, who can be against me. Also, my family and friends are my source of strength and my support system. Lastly, miracles do happen through prayers. Faith can move mountain but only prayer can move God," strongly stated.
Her contribution to change the world: "Raise my children well so they will raise their children better. If every family does this, great nation will rise in the future," she said.
If not in your profession right now, who, what and where are you? Why?
"I was thinking during my younger days as a mother that I want to have my own sari-sari store or my own parlor so I can look after my children. I still think of that when as an option when I retire from corporate world but on the condition that I will open only when I like it, no pressure and no stress he, he, he," she said.
Her voice matters: She concluded, "As a woman, be empowered. Feel Empowered. Network, network, network whenever there is a chance. As a mother: You are the light of the family, never allow the light to dim as the family will lose sight. Pray, pray and pray. (As a working mom:) Everything comes from God. Everything you do is for your children. If they have a good place to sleep, if they are in a good school, if they have all things they need and want, don’t feel guilty of times not spent with them while you are at work because you were doing it for them. It is not the amount of time you spent your children but the quality is what matters most, make it always special and memorable as much as you can."
